Nana Adwoa is an inspirational gospel musician who is touching many lives with her music and passion for the work of God. Believers around the world know me as a spirit filled worshipper and a brilliant pharmaceutical student, but there is more to my life and ministry. I was born and raised in Ghana (West Africa) on March 12, 1989 to Victoria Boateng and the eldest of a sister and four brothers.
Music has always been a major part of my life since I grew up in an extended Christian family full of pastors and musicians. At the age of seven I made my first public appearance at church which really inspired many including myself and my family. It is an undisputable fact that my musical gift was divinely obtained but many also believe that my mother made it easier since I always sang along with her almost daily. For me worshipping is not just an activity but a lifestyle I inherited from both my mother and grandfather who was also a great worshipper. I grew up listening to great musicians like Daughters of glorious Jesus, Tagoe Sisters, Elder Mireku and many more including Pastor Yaw Boakye Dankwah of “abandenden” fame and also dreamt of being in their shoes someday.
I moved to the United States as a young lady and devoted most of my time ministering at different churches and events. This created an opportunity for me to meet one of my icons Pastor Yaw Boakye Dankwah, who later became a great father figure and a mentor. Through his love and mentoring me, I have come out with my first album “Nhyira” which will be launched on the 16th of March 2013 at Church of Grace in Atlanta – Georgia (USA). My album is filled with Great Spirit filled songs and is the album everybody who has witnessed me minister is anticipating for. My launching will features Nana Nimoh from “Big God” fame, Nii Addo, Nana Yaw Ofori Atta, Linda Ennin, Jackson Yeboah and many more. I pray and believe we will all support our dear Nana Adwoa in making her album a success.
