Don’t Let Your Boyfriend Take Naked Photos Of You – Rita Dominic Warns

The rate at which sex tapes and naked pictures of young ladies have been floating online is alarming. It is against this back drop that some celebrities have taken time off to advice young ladies on how to conduct themselves in relationships.
Award-winning actress, Dominic who won the award for Best Actress in a leading role in the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in a Kenyan film ‘Shattered”, took to social networking site, Twitter to sound this warning note, “@ritadominic Dear young women of the world, no matter how in love you are. Please don’t let your boyfriend take naked photos of you.”

John Dumelo’s Harrina wants a ‘divorce’

In line with the current happenings between John Dumelo and Harrina Alexander, the latter has decided to file in for a divorce with a man she says doesn’t love her.
This whole drama seems funnier each passing day but our job is to bring it first hand as it unveils no matter the caliber of characters involved or under which pressure the script was written. Watching from the sidelines before now, we brought thisBetween John Dumelo & Harrina, who is the ‘maradona’?; which looks like a merry-go-round ‘business’ between the two.
But according to Harrina, they were joined together as husband and wife under the signature of oneCarla F. Ward on the 11th of March 2013, in Prince George County, Virginia, USA.
We have been keeping taps with the lawyer and soon will provide her own side of the story. But as it stands, Harrina is filing for a divorce. This may be as a result of their(John & Harrina) private meeting in Maryland, USA last week.
Afterwards, this is what Harrina sent to us…“ Hello everyone, I am just really tired of all the stuff that’s going on. I have tried to work with John. He is not ready for marriage. I have filed divorce papers. I am moving on with my life. I rather be happily married with someone who loves me the same way I love them. I want to apologize on my behalf for all this useless drama. So as far as everything goes me and John are no longer together. And I do not want to be contacted on this Matter again. I have moved on with my life. I have better things to focus on. Thank you all for understanding Sincerely Harrina Alexander”
It must be noted that Harrina claims that John Dumelo talked her into the whole marriage plan so as to get his paperwork right in the USA. Whilst John Dumelo also says that the lady is fame drunk and thus, wants to use him at all cost. But as it stands, we cannot verify any of their claims not until we are through talking with Lawyer Carla.
As all these unfold, we shall keep the public updated on the ‘business’ between John Dumelo and Harrina Alexander with our eyes open knowing that no one goes into business with the aim of going bankrupt? Scroll down to see the mail of Harrina in her own words Harrinawantspeace

Kwabena Kwabena Fights His Wife? – Wife Reveals

When Abena Owusua Adu made the decision to marry popular highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena in 2011, many voices in showbiz circles were of the opinion that it was a bad decision.
Two years and a baby later, Abena says confidently “Marrying Kwabena Kwabena has been very good; I can confidently say that I have never regretted marrying him.
“We do fight sometimes like most married couples do but we settle our differences without letting any third party hear of it. He is a sweet person and the best thing that ever happened to me” Abena happily said.
According to her, not every woman would have taken the decision she took to marry Kwabena Kwabena considering the many negative things that were said about him mainly over his alleged skirt chasing behaviour but she chose Kwabena Kwabena not for anything but love.
In response to how she had dealt with her husband’s many lady admirers, a smiling Abena replied: “He is married to me and no other lady. I know with the kind of songs he does every lady would love to have him as a partner but he is mine.
Whenever he is performing and ladies scream out his name, all I say to myself is, how lucky I am to have Kwabena Kwabena as a husband . The ladies will scream alright but at the end of the day, I am the one who will take him home”
Abena revealed that there have been times when Kwabena Kwabena has been down due to negative stories about him in the media but she encourages him not to let any of those bother him.
“If Kwabena Kwabena is down and I am also down who will encourage the other, I have to be there for him all the time and make sure everything is alright with him. But I can say that he is a really good man every lady would love to have as a husband. He is always home to take care of the kids when he is not performing”, Abena said.
She said anyone who truly wants to know the real Kwabena Kwabena should get close to him and will know he is a really good man.
Kwabena Kwabena who wouldn’t want to talk much about his marriage said “my wife is simply the best woman in the world. I have said it every where I go that I have made the right decision choosing Abena as my wife, she is simply sweet”

Chris Brown says ‘Azonto’ is a Nigerian dance

American R&B star Chris Brown, who recently performed at the rLG Hope City concert in Ghana, says the famous Ghanaian dance moves 'Azonto' is a Nigeria 'thing'.
Chris Brown, while promoting his new album on BET's 106 & Park, told the hosts about 'Azonto', but gave credits to Nigeria, adding that he learnt it from Nigerian musician Wizkid.

Chris Brown was making a point on how big an influence Michael Jackson had on him and his career, but in answering it, 'Azonto' came up. He said "...there's a dance in Africa…it's funny but it's kinda like the Michael Jackson. You wait, you'll see it in the video...just wait!"

But after several shouts of "Do it....do it" from the crowd, he decided to demonstrate it on state. After that, he said this... "I learnt that...I learnt it from a Nigerian artiste by the name of Wizkid...so I don't wanna act like I created it...it's in Nigeria."

He also gave props to Wizkid, saying "he's an incredible artiste out there."

Many questions were raised when Chris Brown introduced Wizkid to stage at the Hope City concert to perform his track 'Azonto'.

Quite recently, Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Samini released a single to slam Nigerian duo P-Square for copying 'Azonto' and just changing it to 'Alingo'. Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh is said to have replied to Samini's song, apparently citing her disapproval of the allegation.

The weed was fake, blame the Ghanaian media – Chris Brown

American music star Chris Brown has broken his silence on the alleged weed he smoked on stage during a performance in Ghana.

Chris Brown was alleged to have smoked “weed” on stage during his performance at the Hope City concert at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 5.

The act has received a lot of flak from civil society organizations and the general public. Notable voices that condemned the act included Minister of State and Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Rashid Pelpuo and Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Reverend Charles Palmer-Buckle.

Organizers of the concert, Charter House, categorically denied media reports that the music star smoked “weed” during his performance at the event. According to the events outfit, Chris Brown smoked a cigar, not marijuana.

But answering a question on the incident on The Breakfast Club on New York based Power 105.1 FM, on Tuesday; Chris Brown blamed the Ghanaian media for giving a negative picture to the stage craft.

He explained that: “There is a thing I did on my whole tour called smoke by the brain. So it’s a part of the show that goes to a collage of all the songs that talk about weed and everybody knows I have a medical cause for marijuana but for me I don’t smoke it on stage.”

Chris Brown stressed that, “It’s a fake light like the way they have the pre-rolled tobacco so at every show I fake it, now that I gave the secret away, but in certain cities like Amsterdam and LA I definitely did but as far as in places where I can get into trouble I avoid it.”

“It was the press over there that made a big fuss about the whole thing, everything else was cool. It was just the press, so it made it seem like it was a situation but it was not,” he said.

           Missing Okomfour Kwadee found

Ghanaian Hip life sensation Okomfour Kwadee who was reported missing earlier this year has finally been found, Newsone can confirm.

Earlier this year, Kwadee’s mother, Cecilia Sakia, stated on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review’ that she had not set eyes on her son for close to three years.

But James Kwasi Oberko, a broadcaster from KFM in Kumasi, told Flexy on Etv’s Talk Showbiz last week that: “Okomfour Kwadee has been located in Santasi, a suburb near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.”

“When we put it out there that Kwadee had gone missing, our listeners started phoning in and some even sent several text messages giving the exact location of the rapper,” Oberko noted.

According to Oberko, some of his callers told him that the ‘Ka Wo Nan To So’ hit maker was mostly located at joints with a couple of guys smoking a substance believed to be marijuana.

“The kind of locations they gave was not good at all. We are putting ourselves together as a station to storm those locations and if we locate him, we will take the next step,” he said.

Okumfour Kwadee, for some time now, has been battling with substance abuse and mental illness.

He has been in and out of various rehab centers across the country.

APHRODISIAC NITE CLUB OWNER "CONFIDENCE HAUGEN" ATTACKED BY ARMED ROBBERS

One time Ghana’s representative in the Big Brother Amplified House, Confidence Haugen, is reported to have been attacked by three heavily armed robbers, according to information we are gathering.
The Aphrodisiac Night Club CEO was allegedly attacked in the wee hours of Wednesday March 13, at about 2:30 am at her Dzorwulu office in Accra. According to the source, the robbers, who appeared quite stout and well-built, wore face masks and came riding on motor bikes.
“At the time of their operation the whole area was very quiet because it was a Tuesday night going into early Wednesday morning. The club was not opened and no event was on-going,” the source narrated.
The armed robbers, we are told, blocked the street leading to the club with their motorbikes with the engine still purring. While one of the robbers kept watch at the entrance, the two others entered the compound leading to the main building for the operation but were said to have met some fierce resistance from the security detail at the place.
A shootout then ensued but it is not too clear who fired the shots or whether anyone was hit, dead or hurt.
“The robbers proceeded to enter the yet to be opened Konfidence shop also located within the Aphrodisiac building where the labeled Konfidence shoes, bags and accessories would be exclusively sold and made away with some items,” the source told intimated.
General Manager of Aphrodisiac Night Club and Confidence’s right hand man, Mr. Johnny, confirmed the incident. According to Johnny who was present during the whole incident, the robbers also made away with a large size flat screen Television set which they surprisingly carried on their motor bike, some Ipads and mobile phones among other items.
He also disclosed that though Confidence was in the building when the robbery incident occurred, she is now safe and sound.
“She is fine, nothing tragic happened to her,” he added.
Johnny, who also confirmed hearing the firing of gunshots during the incident, however, refused to provide any additional detail saying the case has been reported to the Airport Police Station who have already started investigations into the matter.

Majid Michel And John Dumelo For Kwahuoooo! Kwahu!

Easter celebration has become a tradition and an integral part for the Kwahu people of Ghana as well as those in diaspora. As part of the 3-day festivities organised by Kwahuman Association of New York, two of Ghana’s best movie actors, Majid Michel and John Dumelo, will hit the Big Apple this weekend to participate in Kwahu Easter 2013.
It is important to be innovative when it comes to this festive occasion which is intended to raise funds for community projects and also as part of an annual friends and family reunion. This year, Easter celebration in New York City have taken a different dimension; with the aim of attracting youth participation and to mimic the long weekend activities usually observed by our brothers and sisters in Ghana; the president of the Association, Frederick Ansong Obrempong Dwamena stressed.
In addition to the main fundraising event on Saturday, March 30th, the Limousine ride party with Majid and John on Good Friday night in the City and the Sunday red carpet cocktail at Sam’s Café are all part of the weekend’s activities to bring excitement to our members and the community in general, he added. The Vice President of the Association, Mr. Steve Darkwah, reemphasized the President’s commitments to fly Kwahu citizens in New York and their friends to Ghana next year to join their brothers and sisters for the 2014 Easter Homecoming Festival organized by Global Touch Production.
Majid and John flew all the way from Ghana to be part of this year’s Easter and to support the clean water project fundraising event for Kwahu Traditional area. Some members of the Association who were interviewed expressed their readiness to take part in all the 3-day events. For the first time in 30 years we are truly experiencing “real” Easter celebration similar to what we witnessed back home in Ghana; this is historic. It is a warm up for our Homecoming Easter in Ghana next year, she stressed.
The president of the Association, on his Facebook wall, appealed to Easter celebrants to use the death and resurrection of Christ meaningfully and not to engage in excessive drinking, indecent dressing and other immoral activities. This year’s event was sponsored by Prestige Travel and Tour.

Leave Liwin Alone Please”- Miracle Films Boss

Judging from the way trends are going with regards to the new movie released from the camp of Miracle Films in Ghana, if the executive producer of the movie should remain silent on the issue, then Liwin will be hotter than a fish swimming in a hot pot of soup on fire.
It`s all about a movie titled “Evangelist Lilwyn” where Kumawood actor Kojo Nkansah was playing the role of a no nonsense pastor who will never allow wrong doing pass him by. In one of his reproach as a form of teachings and preaching, Lilwyn is on record to have said that “any government who will go ahead to give a whole load of money to just one person to spend is a fool”. Say this in Ghana and it will be synonymous to talking ill about the ruling National Democratic Congress party where people have questioned a controversial judgement debt paid to business man Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
Therefore for Lilwyn to have jokingly said that, it means he has hit on their wounds and there is the need for them to also fight back. The case, since it came out has put Kojo Nkansah in chronic fear knowing very well the effects of partisan politics in our country.
In a response on radio about the allegation, Lilwyn stated emphatically that it was not his decision to make that statement, but it was his producer and director Mr Samuel Nyamekye who pursued him to make such pronouncements. “I was hesitant from the beginning but pressure from my producer made me say those words” Lilwyn said on 205 Total entertainment: Channel R in Accra last Wednesday.

In our bid to put the matter to rest, Flex newspaper decided to contact Mr. Samuel Nyamekye for his part of the story. Even before we called him for his response, there were snippets of information around town which said that some pastors are not happy with the movie and some pronouncements made by the lead character Lilwyn as a preacher. They said there is no man of God who will act like Lilwyn acted in the movie, so he should come again.
“I am even more disappointed in Mr. Samuel Nyamekye because he is still in the Bible school ready to be titled as an apostle or evangelist, so how could he allow an actor to joke with the work of God” one anonymous pastor told Flex newspaper in a telephone chat.
Mr Nyamekye has therefore responded that he sees no need why somebody should assume a statement made in the movie is about a political party and their activities. Hear him as we spoke to him last Monday in our office.

“I wonder why some people have taken this issue so personal like that. It is a movie and I hope it remains a movie without any interference or whatsoever. Now am hearing some men of God are also angry at me for not portraying them right. Don`t we have men of God like that in our movies. To those I have offended in one way or the other, I want to say sorry to all of them and also want to use this opportunity to say that they should leave Lilwyn alone to mind his business because he was only acting and following the rules of his director. I am not sure he has done something wrong to deserve warning from political groups or whatsoever. Please we were only shooting a movie so nobody should be offended” Mr Nyamekye told Flex newspaper on phone.

Efya Gets Hurt; Sings Her Heart Out

Does a public figure have a private life? This is one question people keep on debating about each and every day. Some news about celebrities get into the public domain and people ask who, what, when and how it was able to get that far.
Both the print and electronic media sometimes write stories to spread rumors about celebrities in order to either sell their papers or generate view (traffic) respectively. Controversial issues about personalities are easily spread than the good ones. Gospel musician Sonnie Badu once said ‘it’s surprising how bad news spreads faster than good ones’
Whilst some celebrities would like to be in the news always with controversies surrounding them, Afro-eclectic African soulstress, Jane Awindor with stage name Efya wants the contrary. Some months ago, she jumped on American star Chris Brown’s hit song ‘Don’t Judge Me’ to pour her heart out about the rumours Ghanaians have been speculating about her.
Listening to the song, no one needs a prophet or an angel from heaven to acknowledge that Efya sang this song out of emotions – revealing how she feels to Ghanaians about bad things they talk about her.
The sensational musician in the intro of the music asked her fans not to believe the rumors they hear because they [the rumors] are not true and the fact that she doesn’t react to it doesn’t make it is true. ‘You hearing rumors about me, and you can stomach their thought. I won’t deny what they are saying although what none is true. But everything I do, I do it for you,’ she sang.
The talented Ghanaian songstress went further to talk about how the press spread negative rumors about her including the spread of her photos on the internet just to sully her. It can be recalled that, there were lots of criticism about her dress and make-up to last year’s Radio Television Personality (RTP) Awards. She also revealed some of the questions the press asks her which she thinks will bring problems to her. She gave a typical example like ‘Who has she slept with? Is she allergic (to drugs)? Or maybe affected? The award winning artiste who used the song to react to so many issues was amazed if publicists hate it when she makes it or love it if she loses her mind?
Efya in her conclusion asked her fans to forget about the past and focus on the things which will make her be the good personality she had always wanted to be. She further added that, she should be taken just as she is whether good or bad since she has no other image anywhere. She also promised to be the one her fans can trust.
Efya is not the only musician who has emotionally released a song of this nature. Sarkodie after the Joy FM Night with the stars event where he didn’t perform released ‘The Truth’ – a song which talks about his reasons for not performing at the event. ‘Da Ghana Bwouy’ D-Black also revealed ‘Off It’ to also buttress how people talk bad about him. Samini and Kesse have also made a refix of the same track by Chris Brown.

“It’s because of my mom that I return from my trips” Sarkodie

Sarkodie and Mom
“It’s because of my mom that I return from my trips” Sarkodie told Delay in an interview. Michael Owusu Addo, Ghana’s title holder of ‘Artists of the Year’ is one Artist who brags a lot about his mother.
In an interview with Delay, he stated that, if he will return from his gig trip outside Ghana, it is because of his mother. To him, he hardly spends time with his mom so he makes sure he spends quality time with her when the time comes.
Still lodging in his mother’s residence, Sarkodie told Delay until he finds a convincing reason; he will not leave his mother’s house in Tema Community 9. Asked what will be convincing enough to leave his mum, mummy’s boy Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie) swerved the question.
Early hours of Sunday, Sarkodie released a picture of himself and his mother on his verified Twitter page. In the picture, his mother was ‘swagged’ in his ‘Sark’ branded hat and both mother and son curdling the little and ring fingers with their thumbs leaving their index and middle fingers widely stretched popularly known as ‘deuces’.

This year’s Ghana Music Awards is R2Bees Honour Awards; their trap has caught Ghana Music ‘Bayla’

I would want to call this year’s Ghana Music Awards R2Bees Honour Awards. ‘Walahi’ the duo has done incredibly amazing over the years.
Surprisingly R2Bees has not received Award from Charter House before ever since their inception into the musical stream. Though they have had several nominations, none of them went to Tema. Made up of Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem) and Rashid Mugeez, the name R2Bees stands unassailable whenever any Ghanaian is arguing the prowess of a duo from Ghana.
Bringing back the indigenous Ghanaian Musical Culture with ‘Odo’, R2Bees is credited with Cotemporary High Life badges. Honestly, I was not surprised when I saw their name in 9 categories and gracing it with the Artist of Year nomination. They really deserve more than 9, in my own humble opinion.
I’m challenging you to mention 5 hit songs in Ghana at the moment and if you do not mention ‘Odo’ and ‘Life (Walahi)’ then you are a Tourist. Comfortably relaxing on 2 hits songs, the Tema based songsters have attracted the attention of Forbes List where the world’s acclaimed magazine published that, R2Bees is one of the names to watch out for. It seems Forbes’ prophecy is materializing.
In the publication Forbes published “Ghanaian mega-group R2Bees, made up of Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem) and Rashid Mugeez, is behind some of the biggest hits coming out of West Africa. The hip-hop/hiplife group’s highly anticipated single featuring London-born, Ghanaian artist, Tinchy Stryder is due out in 2013.”
Out of 9 nominations, I can confidently point out that, R2Bees will sweep 7 Awards including the Artist of the Year slot. I would doubt the credibility of Ghana Music Awards if the duo receives anything less than 7.
Indeed, R2Bees deserves a path on their hardworking backs for such spectacular works and they have really proven that their trap has caught Ghana Music ‘Bayla’.

Another Four Months Before Vybz Kartel Goes To Court Again
It may be a new year, but the same problems are rearing their ugly heads in the ongoing murder trial of internationally-acclaimed deejay, Vybz Kartel. Kartel's trial in the murder case of Clive 'Lizard' Williams was scheduled to get underway at the Home Circuit Court in Kingston on Monday. However, the matter was postponed yet again after lawmakers determined there were insufficient jurors.
The prosecution and defense teams in Kartel's case expressed their disappointment with the development as they were ready to proceed.
Nevertheless, they will all reconvene on May 27, when the trial is expected to commence.
This is the second postponement of the matter since it was originally set to begin last November. However, the case was delayed until Jan. 21 as Kartel's lawyer, Valerie Neita-Robertson was working on a separate case.
Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, faces one count of murder in the case along with Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Andre St. John and Calvin 'Moonie' Haye. The latter of the accused is currently on bail.
Each of the men are accused of killing Williams during an incident at a Havendale residence in St. Andrew in August 2011.
Law enforcement officials later claimed they captured video and audio evidence linking each of the accused to the murder. Williams' body has not been found.

Efya in a tussle with security men over ‘fresh air’

Songstress Jane Awindor, known affectionately as Efya, was embroiled in a showdown with some security personnel over their refusal to allow her go smoke with a couple of her friends at the well-attended ‘Sarkodie Live In Concert’ held last month at the Accra International Conference Center, Dome.

The artiste was billed to perform her song ‘Devil in Me’ with Sarkodie on the night, and after her act, she together with five of her friends wanted a convenient place at the Dome to enjoy some bouts of smoking.

The artiste who has been in the news over her smoking habits, was engaged in some exchange of words when she requested the security detail manning the premises to allow her to ostensibly go have some fresh air at the back of the Dome, which is a restricted area.

According to one of the top security personnel, their attention was drawn to a remote section of the Dome when an unscrupulous fellow cut a portion of the tent to enable him enter the premises without a ticket.

Whiles they were handling the situation, Efya approached the area in the company of her friends, wanting to have access through the back of the tent to go do their own thing.

The security personnel explained to the chart-topping artiste that the area was not safe and was a restricted area, advising her to go behind the backstage to do whatever she wanted to do with her friends.

The visibly agitated songstress told the personnel that she only wanted to have access to the restricted area to enjoy fresh air with her friends.

“She and her friends wanted to use the remote part of the Dome to go have fresh air and I explained to her that it was not allowed and if indeed, she needed a feel of fresh air, it was only convenient she used the area around the backstage to enjoy that privilege,” one senior security personnel explained.

The stance by the security team didn’t go down well with Efya as she was heard ranting, “It’s only for fresh air, you know, I just need fresh air.”

“I didn’t even know who she was until I refused her and somebody prompted me that she is Efya. I would have still refused her access if I knew who she is, I was just executing my assigned duties,” the senior security agent stressed.

According to the other security personnel present at the venue, Efya actually went to some secluded area around the Dome to smoke what they said were packs of cigarettes with her legion of girlfriends.

In recent times, the artiste has made headlines for her rumored intake of drugs such as cocaine, an assertion the artiste has vehemently denied although she confidently revealed that she does smoke nothing but cigarettes.

We didn't know where to put footbridges on N1 Highway - MIDA CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Development Authority (MIDA), Martin Eson-Benjamin has admitted failure to properly site footbridges on the George Walker Bush Highway (N1 Highway).

He told Joy News on Tuesday that not enough was done by his outfit in terms of survey, leading to, in some cases, misplaced footbridges on the 14.1 Km three-lane dual carriageway. The road has six footbridges, 13 bus bays and 23 minor junctions.

Barely a year after the inauguration of the highway in February 2012, numerous accidents have occurred on it, claiming over 70 lives – many were pedestrians crossing the road.

Many residents who felt the footbridges were inconveniently placed preferred using seconds to cross the highway to walking minutes to use the nearest football bridge, a decision which has claimed some lives.

An 11 year girl was on Monday killed instantly after she was knocked down by a speeding car when she was crossing the Lapaz section of the N1 Highway to school.

Martin Eson-Benjamin admitted: “I think that enough survey has been made now for everybody to know exactly which area needs a footbridge because when we were doing it initially we were not very, very sure where to put the footbridges.”

City authorities say more bridges would be constructed to safeguard pedestrians. But MIDA would not play a part in the construction; Martin Eson-Benjamin explained that the project has been handed over to the Ghana Highway Authority.

Meanwhile, metal mesh is being constructed to divide the six lane road to make it difficult, if not impossible, for people to cross the highway.

Mayor of Accra, Alfred Vanderpuye told Joy News, “What I have noticed is that at certain points spaces have been left in between, and sometimes individual or collective of persons are attempted to go through that small space. So at our last meeting I have instructed that those small spaces must also be covered.”

He confirmed that they have earmarked about 10 footbridges to be constructed at various points.

Agya Koo Refunds GHȻ2,000 To Complainant

The popular Ghanaian actor and commedian, Kofi Adu, known in movie circles as Agya Koo has refunded GHȻ2,000 as part payment to Mr Stephen Kwarteng, who has accused him of fraud.

Agya Koo, who has been accused of defrauding Stephen Kwarteng under the pretext of obtaining him visa to travel abroad made the payment in court when the case was called Tuesday.

The case resumed on Tuesday to enable the prosecution to correct defects on the charge sheet.

However, the court could not immediately reconcile the balance of $1,000 to be paid to the complainant and gave lawyers of the accused person a month to reconcile the amount and then come back to court.

The case was adjourned to January 31, 2013.

Though Kofi Adu was granted bail on Monday his charges were again read out to him. He pleaded not guilty.

His lead counsel, Mr Joseph Turkson, who pleaded for bail said there was a transaction between his client and the complainant and that if his client failed to fulfill his part of the contract the proper thing for him to do was to refund the money which they were ready to do.

Ms Naomi Nelson Kwofie, who represented Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Darteh (retd), Counsel for Kofi Adu, also pleaded with the court to grant him bail since her client had met the bail conditions.

Wearing a white T-shirt over black trousers, Kofi Adu looked calm in the dock.

He has been charged with three counts of attempt to commit crime, migrant smuggling and fraud.

The Prosecutor, DSP Mary L. Agbozo said on March 8, 2011 at Tabora in Accra and Kumasi in the Greater Accra Circuit and within the jurisdiction of the court, Kofi Adu attempted to unlawfully migrate Stephen Kwarteng by facilitating his departure to the USA by collecting GHȻ2,170 and $1,000 respectively from him.

The prosecution said the facts of the case were that, the complainant was a trader who has a sister living in the USA.

It said the complainant had the desire to visit the sister and discussed with a friend who led him to Kofi Adu at Alhaji Tabora, a suburb of Accra.

The accused person was said to have confirmed his ability to assist the complainant to travel to the USA and sited instances which the complainant believed.

The prosecutor said the accused person charged the complainant a fee of $10,000 covering visa, work permit and a return air ticket and asked the complainant to make advance payment of $850 as processing fee and also paid $1000 as part payment of fee charged.

The accused person then called the complainant to bring the money to him in Kumasi which he did.

Afterwards, the accused took the complainant together with ten other people to the US Embassy in Accra and assured him he would get the visa.

But while the complainant was waiting at the Embassy the accused sneaked out of the premises and rather called on telephone later on for them to meet him at Busy Internet near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

Upon meeting them he gave them excuses in relation to his inability to secure the visa.

After a series of excuses from the accused since 2011, the complaint got fed up and became apprehensive. The accused later told the complainant he would secure an Australian visa for him and demanded an additional GHȻ1150 but failed to honour that one too.

The complainant severally demanded for a refund of his money but the accused offered excuses.

On January 8, 2013 however, a report was lodged with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit at the CID Headquarters and the accused was invited through telephone but failed to turn up.

The police again called him on January 18, 2013 and he reported and was subsequently arrested on warrant, detained and charged with the offence after investigations.

Sarkodie’s management team is keen on solidifying his credentials as an artiste. Among the many things planned for him this year, is the launch of a new clothing line.
Sark Collections as it would be called will be launched this year, label sources have suggested.
First photos of some of the collections were released online on Tuesday by both artiste, and some members of his team.
There are indications his team intend to commercialize it, as it is the case with other established music brands.
Sarkodie joins a tall list of Ghanaian acts to have either had their brand or stage name commercialized for the full monetary and image enhancement benefits thereof.

Yvonne Nelson denies being in a ‘bikini’ relationship

Sultry Ghanaian actress has taken over her twitter handle again, and this time she is sending a clear message of her being a lonely maiden.
If you know the ‘controversial’ actress so well, then you will know that she doesn’t give a hoot at those who will bash her over her fun and life.
And in that vein, she has come out to debunk her state of relationship with the Kukere master-Iyanya. “I’m not in any relationship now…Love is a beautiful thing… humans make it ugly…I still believe in love”, she wrote.
Her response comes few days after news wires suggested she and Iyanya are back on track, after an earlier report of a strained affair.
But the big question is, who is pulling strings and who is playing pranks here?
For an actress cum producer who recently churned out one of the hottest movies in 2012 – Single and Married, which thus, rolled in accolades such as Best Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Director, at the just concluded 2012 Ghana Movie Awards, that’s a question for another day.

Jon Germain so far has ‘This is who I am’ his maiden album to his credit. The 7-track album features J Town and Jayso and It has tracks like In my head (his first single), Can’t explain, Quiver, among others.
The world of music would be appalled by ‘Enigma’ because this album is a typical ‘sky rocketeer’ for Jon’s career as a musician due to very good production, songwriting and brilliant vocal performance.
Jon Germain is signed to the record label I-Contact and managed by NaturesClue Entertainment.

IWAN angered by diss to mum from Bandana

Bandana and IWAN kick start their music year with a lyrical beef.
If these two were in the same room someone would be taken to the morgue. But thank goodness for technology they share their grievances on songs and Facebook.
According to Bandana, IWAN was the aggressor who ignited the feud. “IWAN came back from London went on radio, poured a whole lot of insults on me. He said Rastafaria is older than my mother and father. They went to Volta region, told the fans to stop listening to any Shatta movement music because I preach violence. I went to Akuma village on the 29th of December, 2012 for a show and his MC said it open in the Mic and I quote: If you don’t like Shatta Movement say fire burn!!!”
After this incident Bandana released a song directed at IWAN titled ‘A Letter To IWAN’. IWAN replied on his Facebook page that, “Blessed morning to the force. Give thanks for patience and humbleness. No Gideon Force member should take the diss to my Mum a joke? But we are civilized , so we take things orderly. 3days and I will end all the fuckery. Thanks for ur patience and nobody attack nobody. Leave it in my Hands. I have taking all ur advices and I appreciate and will consider them. I love My Mummy and I will make her proud”.
Bandana didn’t seem bothered and told Ghana Music.com that “I am waiting for him to do what he wants to do in three days if suck your mother is a diss to his mum”.
Bandana also shed some light on that he thinks he is been influenced.
Gideon Force fans of IWAN are still waiting for IWAN to drop a retaliation joint.

The fear of potentially ruthless gangsters is the beginning of security consciousness for Miami rap star, Rick Ross after he cancelled two concerts in North Carolina this weekend, as police stated security would be beefed up over gang threats against the rapper.
Rick Ross canceled concerts in Greensboro and Charlotte, although the exact reason has not been confirmed but it was gathered that local police were on high alert, over numerous threats against Rick Ross in recent weeks, by various factions of The Gangster Disciples.

The concerts in North Carolina were also supposed to feature Maybach Music Group artists Meek Mill, Wale and others.
Live Nation Entertainment, which promoted the concerts, said refunds would be available beginning today (December 7).

Sonnie Badu Endorses Funny Face… Got His Swagon!

Upon seeing comedian Funny Face after a couple of times and interacting with him, I have noticed that he is one of the few celebrities who humbles themselves. Upon his stardom, he doesn’t see himself to be above anyone as some of the celebrities behave. The ‘no baga wire‘ man seems to be humble everywhere he goes and no matter who he is with. Don’t forget it was because of this humbleness that made him win the heart of player Adebayor for him to buy him a Range Rover.

I missed Sonnie Badu’s ‘Let  The Peace Rain Concert‘ last Saturday at the Dome but upon watching a footage of Ramsey, Dumlo and Funny Face singing, popular Chemu upon receiving   the microphone to sing showed some humbleness till he finished.
Sonnie Badu has also confirmed this humbleness of the man. This is what he said when Funny Face was singing at last Saturday’s event.

@funnyfacegh he is so humble twitter.com/SonnieBaduuk/s…
— Sonnie Badu (@SonnieBaduuk) December 4, 2012

Funny Face for sometime now has been preaching about humbleness and i think that is what he is trying to exhibit

You see somebody today, the  following day you hear they are dead and then you live your life thinking the world is for you. Humble yourself for GOD to lift you up for life is short .Don’t hate blindly
Always respect everybody you meet for you don’t own and know the future.Stay humble and keep giving the glory to the Almighty . GOD bless you all

Well to me Zionfelix, I see him to be one of the celebrities who are down to earth. What do you think about him. Lets hear your opinion in the comment box below.

Van Vicker Is Not My Friend – Tonto Dike

Contrary to general perception that most Nollywood stars are friends with one another, Tonto Dike has claimed otherwise; that she is not necessarily friends with some of her colleagues.

Tonto, who recently had a messy fight with star actress Mercy Johnson and Van Vicker last year, has confirmed the rift between herself and the mentioned actors.
She claimed Mercy Johnson was not her type and said she had let go of everything that transpired between them.
In a recent interview, Tonto had this response when asked why she chose not to attend Mercy Johnson’s wedding; “That’s not the reason I didn’t attend her wedding. It’s surprising why people think you just have to be everybody’s friend.
In the industry, I don’t know half of the producers and I work for them, I don’t even know half of my colleagues but I work with them, I kiss and hug them on set professionally.
“We flow, we enjoy the friendship on set based on the energy and connection that exists between myself and the next person on set but that does not mean we are friends in the real sense of it.
You can’t just be a friend to everybody, it’s a normal thing. Mercy Johnson and Van Vicker are just not my friends.”

Tonto Dike Crazily In Love With Terry G

When I was asked to review Tonto’s debut singles, I did not join people to abuse it, I only criticized the producer who was supposed to have corrected her and apply some touches of aesthetic and professionalism into the songs.
Today, despite all the rumbles, vibes and jives the song generated, Tonto, musically, is in hot romance with Terry G as she has just been featured in his new single entitled‘Crazically Fit’ produced by Terry G himself.
No doubt, Tonto’s delivery in this song will definitely keep her critics at bay. This is another wonder for the street that you need to listen to.

                  Sarkodie ‘Stabs’ R2Bees

According to credible information available to Peacefmonline.com, all is not well between two Tema based artistes R2bees and Sarkodie due to a looming tension between the two. The best pals fell off last weekend over an issue of mistrust and betrayal.

Sarkodie and R2bees who were billed alongside a Pan African group P-Square on the “Top of the World Celebration” concert, together threatened to boycott the show prior to the main night allegedly over an alleged huge disparity between their performance fee of (¢20,000 and ¢10,000 respectively) and that of the Nigerian stars P-Square, who reportedly charged close to $.200, 000.
The two confronted the organizers together on Thursday evening November 22, and demanded additional money or they would not mount the stage.
According a close source, managements of Sarkodie and R2Bees were still in talks with the organizers the whole of Thursday and Friday still insisting on being paid more, but late Friday night a call was placed from Sarkodie’s camp to one of the senior executives of Charter House, organizers of the event, that they should forget about their demand and that Sarkodie was ready to perform.
Interestingly, all this happened without the knowledge of R2Bees or their manager who were leading the ‘crusade’ for more money. The duo (Mugees and Paedae) felt betrayed and disappointed in Sarkodie and his management, for stabbing them in the back to perform on a show they have both agreed not to perform until the organizers increase their performance fee.
According to Ike, manager of R2Bees, they had that information on Friday night when he was still negotiating that Sarkodie had agreed to perform, and when he confronted Sammy Forson, Sarkodie’s manage; he confirmed that indeed they had agreed to perform because they didn’t want any bad blood between them and the organizers. According to him they didn’t believe it until they were informed that Sarkodie actually mounted the stage to perform at the Independence Square, and that they (R2Bees) were replaced with Samini.
The group is currently dumbfounded that their friend Sarkodie could betray them for something they are both trying to change for the benefit of every Ghanaian artiste. They also feel misled because Peacefmonline.com gathers that this whole idea to boycott the show was Sarkodie’s idea and they trusted him enough to play along, but he rather double-crossed them.
However, R2Bees manager told Peacefmonline.com that “Oh! We as R2Bees do not hold anything against Sarkodie, we don’t have any problem with him but all I can say is that we have learnt our lessons. We have advised ourselves” Ike said admitting that Sarkodie “Obidiponbidi” has indeed ‘played Judas’ with them.
Meanwhile, when Peacefmonline.com contacted Sammy Forson Sarkodie’s manager, he promised giving us details of the whole issue later and stated that neither he nor Sarkodie betrayed anybody. “I will let you know the facts soon but let me put on record that Sarkodie didn’t betray nobody”, Sammy stressed.
It will be recalled that Sarkodie and R2bees started this crusade together against the event a organizers few days ago, and they both agreed to keep rebelling against event organizers until they treat Ghanaian artistes better than they do now.
They started this at the Joy FM “Nite With the Stars” on Saturday November 24, 2012 inside The Dome, when they both refused to perform even though they were at the venue, because according to them security was poor and also because their colleague Kwaw Kesse was attacked after his performance and after other confrontations backstage.
Even though both artistes are trying to paint a perfect picture to the public as though everything is fine between them, Peacefmonline.com can confirm that R2Bees have refused to communicate with Sarkodie since Saturday till date.
This is not too good for both artistes and their fans, because the two have quite a number of songs together, including Sarkodie biggest hit song “Baby”, which features Mugees, “Agyeeeii” by R2Bees and R2bees, latest single “Bayla Trap” which features Sarkodie, among other popular songs

Uche Jombo Spits Fire!! Stop Talking Sh*t

The media was inundated with news about Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo Rodriguez going to the United States of America for a corrective eye surgery some weeks ago. She was even quoted in one of the reports to have said that the eye surgery was necessary because while she was a kid, she had a problem with the eye. As a result, she was going to the US to do a surgery to further correcti the problem caused to the eye back then (“As a child, I had an accident while playing with an iron hanger as a gun and it accidentally got into my right eye. I had surgery then abroad, at the age of 9. This new surgery is more of cleaning and keeping up to date with the best eye surgery, when it was found out that it wasn’t properly done the first time, and presently the doctors are correcting it,”) This quote was what was reported that Uche said when she talked on her eye surgery news after she underwent the reported eye surgery.
But in a late turn-around, weeks after the news, Uche has openly spat fire like a dragon on the matter. The wife of Kenny Rodriguez went on twitter to show her anger while she reinstated that she is wonderfully made by God and as such, she won’t do anything to alter her face or nose.
“Dear clueless one, stop talking sh*t. If I want to do surgery, my nose and face will be the last thing I will touch because I am wonderfully made by God. Sincerely, Uche Jombo-R.”
The question is, who is fooling who?

Have You Seen The New Sarkodie-Branded Headphones ‘Obidi’s Chef’ … Errm! Is It Swagger-Jacking Beats By Dre?

It’s been a long time coming and I’ve been following Ghana music and it’s stars for a long time but no Ghanaian artist has been this successful, Yes, I repeat, No ARTIST! Sarkodie has made it and can be called successful. Not long ago Sarkodie’s team partnered with OBJ clothing and brought about a highly advanced Sarkodie-branded footwear. Many back-lashed it saying, it was copying the style of the ‘Converse Chuck Taylor’. We didn’t hear much of it but sources say it’s still in production and will be out soon.
Sarkodie has been branded Samsung Ambassador and many is being worked on between the company and the star. We told you about the customized Samsung products with Sarkodie’s signature engraved on the back and pre-installed Sarkodie songs on the device. It seems it didn’t end there. Guess what is next, Sarkodie’s own headphones which will be called ‘Obidi’s Chef’. Well Dr. Dre has made millions from selling headphones which has made many rappers like Ludacris, 50 Cent and more jump into the business. We got a picture of Sarkodie’s ‘Obidi’s Chef’ and sorry to say, it looks too similar to Beats By Dre. We can also see the Samsung logo on it. Well the packaging and design also looks similar to Dr. Dre’s ‘Beats By Dre

My question is ‘Will You Buy”? Yes, I would, for Obidi to make more money and rap about it (sarcastic). Check out the photo of the headphones as it stand in stores. It’s a good move but it’s not creative enough. I’m sure if it goes viral a law suit can be served to whoever is involved for patent copyrighting. Well leave your thoughts

Sarkodie’s Illuminati Song Was A Stolen Idea From Timaya’s Song

No matter what you do, people will have something to say about it. Less than 24 hours since the rap act Sarkodie released his ‘Illuminati’ track, people have shared their views on it. Some are saying its a very nice track, others are saying he shouldn’t have release it since he just released a track two days ago ‘The Truth’ which talked about he not performing about at Joy FM’s Night With The Stars event at the Dome last Saturday. This is what a writer by name  Duke Quagraine has also written about the ‘Illuminati’ track.
Timaya released ILLUMINATI track couple of months ago and now, OBIDI SARKODIE has also dropped… Illuminati…so that this mean Sarkodie stole the idea from TIMAYA “EGBERI PAPA 1 OF BAYES
A” cos most of the lyrics bunches are the same…. LOL
TIMAYA -now am making money .. now dey say am an illuminati… am de same person nobody care.. MORE AND MORE AND MORE…
SARKODIE- first i dnt av… now ders more cash so u calling me illuminati.. MORE AND MORE AND MORE..
Zionfelix Entertainment News would like to ask you about your opinion about the “Illuminati” track

VIP Is Barbaric- Says Kwaw Kesse

Ghana’s music industry seems to have adopted the East Coast–West Coast hip hop bloody rivalry that  emerged in the 1990’s between East Coast-based rapper the Notorious B.I.G. (and his label, Bad Boy Records), and West Coast-based rapper Tupac Shakur (and his label, Death Row Records)
Mad Time Entertainment, which manages Tema-based award winning hip-hop artiste Kwaw Kesse aka Abodam, has released a very strong worded and threatening press statement directed at the Accra-based music group, VIP.
The statement, signed by Fennec Okyere on behalf of Mad Time, warned VIP that if the group felt safe in Nima, a densely populated Accra suburb,  Kwaw Kesse also had a strong support base in Tema and other parts of the country and his fans might physically attack VIP  if the group went to those areas.
“We are calling on VIP to affirm their belief in creative competition without the need to resort to barbaric violence.
While VIP might feel safe in Nima, Kwaw Kesse and other entertainers also have fans from Nima to Ashaiman to Swedru and many other parts of Ghana who may want to attack VIP in retaliation.
“Violence begets violence and retaliation and in the run-up to our national elections, we urge musicians and every other sector of society to denounce and eschew violence and rather seek peaceful dialogue to resolve any differences they might have,” the statement noted.
The statement was necessitated by a misunderstanding that occurred between Kwaw Kesse and VIP during last weekend’s Joy FM Night with the Stars music contest between musicians in Tema and their Accra counterparts.
The organizers pitched Kwaw Kesse against VIP and according to the statement issued by Mad Time, Kwaw Kesse, during the show, went on stage with a banner that had the inscription VIP. The statement said Kwaw Kesse started trampling on the banner that had the name on VIP.
This development did not go down well with VIP and they were said to have demanded an apology when Kwaw Kesse ended his performance and joined them backstage.
Kwaw stood his grounds that he owed no apology to VIP and this misunderstanding degenerated into a physical confrontation between the two groups.
So chaotic was the situation that Sarkodie and R2Bees were said to have boycotted the event and left for home without performing.
Loyalists of both groups reportedly clashed and a few properties vandalized
But in a response to the statement from Mad Time, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bulldog, manager of VIP, expressed utter shock in an interview with NEWS-ONE.
“Look, as managers, we should not be using the type of language that can provoke or fuel tension in anyway.
There is a challenge at hand and as industry players we should find responsible ways of addressing the challenge rather than coming out to describe VIP as barbaric or violent or saying that your artiste has support base at some places and that may attack VIP.
“I am shocked but let me once again use this platform to call on all our fans to remain calm no matter the extent of provocation. Let us show love even when it means we would be seen as fools,” Bulldog noted.
…I RAN FOR MY LIFE: Sarkodie

Sarkodie
Below is a press statement from Sarkodie, explaining why he left the Joy FM Night with the stars without performing.
With reference to recent development within the media and on other platforms following Sarkodie’s non-performance at Joy FM’s Nite with the Stars organized Saturday, 24 November 2012 at the Dome of the International Conference Center, I deem it right to set the facts straight.

Sarkodie arrived at the venue two hours earlier than scheduled in high spirit and ready to thrill attendees and give fans one of his best showings in recent times.
However, this became impossible after a confrontation between teams of Kwaw Kesse and VIP had gotten physical.
A group of armed individuals broke into the changing room of Sarkodie and R2bees, threatening to get violent if we did not reveal the whereabouts of Kwaw Kesse.
We noticed a movement of several armed groups into the main auditorium and backstage for reasons we are yet to know.
That became a huge concern for me and members of my team, fearing what could happen when Sarkodie mounts the stage.
Fearing the escalation of the situation, as there weren’t enough security personnel to bring the situation under control, we indicated to members of the Joy FM team our concern, resolving of the fracas and the safety of Sarkodie, R2bees and management members.
Unfortunately, we had to leave the show premises as nothing was done about the security situation and fearing the safety of my artiste Sarkodie, R2bees and others.
This was an act and a decision taken not as a calculated attempt to tear down the show, rather due to the security concern.
However, we are more than willing to resolve this issue with the organizers of the Night with the Stars event and hope they will grant us their platform to clarify issues going forward.
Sarkodie sincerely apologizes to all attendees on the night and cherished fans who might have been let down by this act.
Be assured that you are still and will always remain his number one priority and he is committed to thrilling you at all times.
Thank you

“Hip Life Artistes Are Consistently Inconsistent”- My Beef

Gone are the days when we had people like Lord KenyaTerry Bonchaka put up splendid stage performances that  left audiences asking for more. Since the demise of the latter, and the former shifting from hiplife to gospel, one cannot pinpoint to one hiplife artiste in Ghana who can really rock the stage.
One barely sees the audience dance to songs being performed by our artistes of late, the reason is simple; they fail to rock the stage. Watching artiste after artiste perform at the just ended Joy FM old school reunion, there was no single one who impressed me or moved the crowd.
What I know is, good music should come with good stagecraft. It’s one thing going to the studio, record a song and come out with a hit, and another thing selling your music to the crowd through your performance. One artiste who has gotten a little near, just a little, to what the Lord Kenya`s and Bonchakas did is Sarkodie, but he fails to impress when he is needed most.
Something I will term “consistently inconsistent” on his part because as an artiste, you should always leave your audience in a state that will make them look forward to your next show, a show that will again leave them asking for more, and more. I vividly remember those days when people wondered what the late Terry Bonchaka will come up with anytime he is billed to perform and he never failed to impress.
Lord Kenya was the yardstick for measuring good stage performance during his time as a hiplife artiste. What happened to our crop of hiplife artistes? Is it a case of lack of choreographers to coach them or is a matter of “I don’t care, let me just go on stage, mime, leave the stage and get paid.”
Guru and D-Black readily comes to mind anytime I want to mention artistes who have serious deficiencies in this area. Luckily for me, they were at the Joy FM old school event and characteristic of them, they failed woefully.
D-Black tried very much to impress and move the crowd at the fairgrounds but it didn’t work.  He just couldn’t connect with them. Though his latest song”Vera” is a hit and enjoying massive airplay, he failed to live up to the hype that his song has generated since it was released.
The “Kyekyekyedeyfili” man, Guru is another musician who gets me looking elsewhere anytime I see him performing on stage. My reason is simple; am just embarrassed and wondering what might be going through the minds of those watching him. Since the days of “democracy” his first album through to “Akontafriedrice” his latest, he hasn’t changed my mind a bit about his stagecraft and I don’t see him picking up any soon. Yes, he is not ready to upgrade.
My candid opinion is for them to get choreographers, and not to take their fans for granted after paying huge sums of money to watch them perform and not to show their body. In my next article, I will pick other two hiplife artistes who are not up to the task. It’s high time we “expose” all of them and tell them to sit up because it is their fans that can make and unmake them.

For more than 20 years of dedicated life of inspiring gospel music lovers in Ghana and across the world, the sensational group Daughters of Glorious Jesus, have bounced back with a new concept to draw souls closer to God.
With ten albums and over 100 songs to their credit, the management of Daughters of Glorious Jesus on Tuesday launched “Back2Back 2013” aims at creating a platform for gospel music fans to enjoy thrilling soul-touching performances from the three sisters and many popular gospel artistes.
“The Back2Back concept, which we started from the beginning of this year with our first show on Sunday January 1st, has come to stay. Today we are launching the Back2Back 2013, which will be staged live on January 6, 2013,” Mr. Theophilus Yartey, a management member of the group told the media at the launch.
Beginning their individual music careers in the early 1980s, Mr. Yartey said, they became Daughters of Glorious Jesus in 1989, when one Reverend Akwasi Asare, saw the great talent and potential in them and gave them all the needed support.

Digital recording technology has made many musicians lazy – Buk Bak

Ghanaian music duo, Buk Bak have been sharing their views on some developing trends in the music industry with DJ Scientific (Kwame Poku).
Hanging out on Focus FMs Brunchtyme, the two expressed their aversion to some new technologies employed in the recording of music.
They argue that digital recording technology for example, has made many musicians lazy. They will always remain fans of the analog system of doing things though it’s hectic.
They say however that there some helpful technologies provided you find the right technical people to work with.
The highly sought after musical pair is so high on standards they are doing a fourth video for “Kolom”; one of their songs.
They say fans should expect a brand new video for “My Girl”. They also urge fans to keep their fingers crossed as they are poised to release three songs soon.
They are working to take their game to a new high by working with more foreigners on various projects.

Sarkodie Speaks On Joy FM "Nite With The Stars" 'No Show'

With reference to recent development within the media and on other platforms following Sarkodie’s boycott of Joy FM’s Nite with the Stars organized Saturday 24 November 2012 at the Dome of the International Conference Center, I deem it right to set the facts straight.

Unfortunately we had to leave the show premises as nothing was done about the security situation and fearing the safety of my artiste Sarkodie, R2bees and others. This was an act and a decision taken not as a calculated attempt to tear down the show, rather due to the security concern.

However, we are more than willing to resolve this issue with the organizers of the Night with the stars event and hope they will grant us their platform to clarify issues going forward.

Sarkodie sincerely apologizes to our all attendees on the night and cherished fans who might have been let down by this act. Be assured that you are still and will always remain his number one priority and he is committed to thrilling you at all times.

9ice Poses With Hired Car As He Shoots Music Video In UK, Starts False Car Acquisition Hype

Nigeriafilms.com can authoritatively confirm that singer, 9ice, whose music career has nose-dived in recent times, is currently in London for the video shoot of his song, ’3310′. A source close to 9ice revealed to Nigeriafilms.com that the estranged husband of Toni Payne jetted out to London some days ago for the music video shoot, which has already started today, Monday, November 26, 2012.
One of his representatives confided in Nigeriafilms.com that 9ice is doing everything possible to launch himself back into the Nigerian music mainstream like his ‘Gongo Aso’ days.
The source further revealed to Nigeriafilms.com that 9ice is also in the UK for the much hyped AY Live show held last night, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Indig02 in the UK.
Furthermore, Nigeriafilms.com authoritatively confirmed that another representative of 9ice has started a fake acquisition of a Rolls Royce car allegedly bought by the singer.
Few days ago, Nigeriafilms.com received a picture of 9ice posing with an about N50million worth Rolls Royce car believed to be bought by him in the UK. Our investigation revealed that the picture of 9ice posing with the expensive car was meant to create unnecessary media hypes for 9ice. We then confirmed that the car was hired for his music video shoot as he never bought the car as speculated by one of his representatives.

                   More On Mzbel Pregnancy

The question of who is responsible for the pregnancy of sensational singer Mzbel has popped up once again after photos of the singer and a certain Maxwell Mensah hit media circles.
Already, the said Maxwell had been widely speculated as being the man responsible for the musician’s pregnancy, although this has not been proven beyond doubt.
Several news reports had speculated that Maxwell was responsible for Mzbel’s pregnancy and that Maxwell was believed to be her manager.
Interestingly, this same Maxwell was said to have dated or may be dating actress Nana Ama McBrown. It is obvious Mzbel would not be comfortable with the public’s interest in who impregnated her but this is one of the challenges she may have to live with as a celebrity with a large fan base.
Indeed, when news broke that the musician was pregnant, she denied it vehemently but from all indications, the singer is very pregnant and cannot hide it any longer.
Already, she has a handsome son in his early teens.Perhaps, after delivery, the child’s father would not be hidden from the public any more.
But until then, the question still remains unanswered and her fans would continue to miss her public shows

DKB Slap Made Me More Popular – Zainab

Sierra Leonean’s representative at the recently held Big Brother Africa Stargame, Zainab O. Sheriff, has revealed that Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Boney (DKB) is a professional slapper.
DKB was on Monday, June 4, 2012 disqualified from the reality show for slapping Zainab who peeped at him while he was taking a shower.
Speaking exclusively on Showbiz Today with Bola Ray on Hitz Fm, Zainab noted that if she had not taken part in this year’s Big Brother reality show and received that slap, she would not have been this famous.
She said, “I am the girl with the most famous slap in Africa, I tell you that slap was not easy ooo. I tell you one thing for sure, DKB can slap. DKB is a professional slapper.”
She also said if she had seen that slap coming, she would have run for her life. Zainab, who is also a model, however admitted that she had a big mouth and most contestants knew about it when they were in the Big Brother house but she said the slap was unexpected.
She revealed that DKB did not know that something like that could happen to them in the cause of their stay in the house.
Zainab disclosed that they had both gotten over it and were now good friends. “Well we are over it because I look at things in the positive side. I don’t dwell on negativity, DKB is sorry, I have forgiven him. I have moved on, I hope he has.”
Zainab also disclosed exclusively on the show that she was planning to change her nationality and become a Ghanaian.
She said, “Have you been to my country? I don’t like it at all, so when I arrived in Ghana, I just said to myself, I’m gonna change my nationality. I am going to be a Ghanaian and the most thing I like about Ghana is that, Former President Jerry John Rawlings is from Ghana.”
Zainab was in Ghana over the weekend to party with her Ghanaian housemates DKB, Keitta and Eazzy and she also used the opportunity to be part of the 4Syte Music Video Awards.
The model is currently based in Istanbul, Turkey and has done extensive runway shows for several magazines including Elle magazine, Marie Claire and Vogue.

The Fight Between Kwaw Kesse And V.I.P At Joy FM’s Night With The Stars .. What Really Happened!

The annual ‘Night With The Stars’ hosted by one of Ghana’s leading radio stations Joy FM this year didn’t end successfully as expected. The event which wanted to settle the controversies as to which city had the best artiste in Ghana unfortunately for some reasons, had to come to an end which didn’t allow Samsung’s ambassador Sarkodie and R2bees to perform.
Before the night of the event, the organizers of the show had paired the Tema based artiste with their Accra counterparts. Sarkodie was to battle it out with Samini, Double and Keche, Eazzy and Itz Tiffany, D-Black and E.L, Buk Bak and R2bees and the commotion setters VIP and Kwaw Kesse.
The man insane who was paired to battle it out with the Nima gourp V.I.P who was about coming to perform was led by 7 semi nude ladies in their bikinis with MADTIME written on their butts with each girl with a letter. The last lady with with the letter ‘E’ coming on stage was holding a flyer with V.I.P written in it and spread it on the floor for Kwaw to walk on it when he was coming to perform which implies that he has stepped on (V.I.P) and has conquered them.
V.I.P came to rock their fans after Kwaw came to show them that disrespect. Promzy after their intro song and were about to start with their main performance disclosed how unhappy they were with what Kwaw did. His two other colleagues joined him to show how angry they are and directed some insults to him. They also disclosed that Kwaw knelt down on his knees to beg them at the back stage. According to reports gathered from backstage, there was a quarrel between Kwaw Kese and V.I.P before they came on stage and after their performance which led to some unidentifiable people pulling gun.
According to a source at Joy FM, the bouncers of Kwaw and VIP exchanged blows at the back stage by then Kwaw had left the venue. Hip-life grand papa who met VIP at the Rockstones office advised them to forget about everything which happened but Promzy was very angry and said he will meet Kwaw in his house the following morning.
After all these incidents, there were left with two great Tema artistes Sarkodie and R2bees and one giant Accra based artiste Samini who were left at the back stage to perform. The order of performance was Tema performs then Accra performs but after V.I.P, it was the turn of R2bees to come on stage but Bola Ray the MC called on Buk Bak and later came to announce after Buk Bak’s performance that Sarkodie and R2bees said they wont perform. Fans at the Dome screamed to call Sarkodie and R2bees but they kept adamant to their call. Bola Ray later announced that Ghana’s number one dancehall artiste Samini was ready to rock so he introduced him and he put up a splendid performance.
If you ask me, I would say, it was Childish on VIP’s side to take it personal as the show is dubbed ‘Accra Vs. Tema’ so your opponent has to do anything to put your through the dirt as that is the order of the day and after all they are grown folks and should have been taken as such, I also blame the event organizers as obviously neither of them rehearsed or knew what was about to be done as it all came as a surprise to the artists and the audience. In all, it is really uncalled for and VIP should man-up. Let us know your points of view.

WHAT’S WRONG IF WOMEN TAKE OVER NOLLYWOOD?- GENEVIEVE NNAJI

The emergence of fiberisima Ibinabo as first female president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, to Nollywood’s A-list actress, Genevieve Nnaji is a gender changing moment for growth. Genevieve speaks on her contribution to the whole event and her hope that women would continue to take-over the mantle of leadership in all human endeavors.
What is your comment and contribution to the emergence of Ibinabo Fiberisima as AGN`s first female president?
I personally endorsed her and I encouraged her to contest. I am really glad that she made it.
Do you see her coming as a new era of good things to come in AGN?
I hope so and I think a lot will change. Once there is a change, just a little hole, it will create an expansion and doors would be opened. We are all hopeful, fingers crossed. This will be a good thing for the industry as a whole.
But is it African or socially right for women to take over the control of the AGN?
What is wrong with that? If that is not true but then, what is wrong with that? We are human beings; you have men, you have women.
What other optionts are there ,dogs?
What kind of support are you giving her?
I am giving her my personal support anyway she wants it and anyway I can, at least to my ability.
Has she approached you yet?
Well, she has spoken to me about one or two things; nothing conclusive yet. But yea, they are things I am not going to shy away from.
Are you still that close to your sister and family or has money and fame taken far from her?
Yes. I am always going to the family home. That is where I left before coming to this event.

DKB apologised then went down on his knees and kissed Zainab’s feet.

Ex BBA housemates DKB from Ghana and Zainab from Sierre Leone were disqualified from the BBA house in June for getting physical with each other. DKB later released a song apologising to Zainab and Africa for his behaviour.
The Ghanaian comedian and radio presenter apologised once more to Zainab on Live TV in Ghana yesterday. The former housemates appeared together on Viasat’s ‘The One Show’ with Joselyn Dumas and PY Addo, where DKB apologised then went down on his knees and kissed Zainab’s feet.

Jay Ghartey Features Top Ugandan Singer On New Single

In a move that ultimately puts African music on the global map, sensational Ghanaian-American artiste Jay Ghartey has completed work on his latest single, which features the crown-princess of Ugandan music, Juliana Kanyomozi.
Indeed, the synergies of this duet do not only spawn from the unique creativity of both artistes, but also from the fact that the attempt successfully mirrors the huge artistic potential of West and East Africa.
The song, titled “Love You Better,” epitomizes grand quality work in every regard, as it embraces varying musical conventions that makes it different from the typical Hiplife flavour many Ghanaian music-lovers are exposed to.
It is understood that the two multi-talented, youthful African artistes met recently in Uganda to do a remix of Jay Ghartey’s hit song ‘My Lady,’ from where the idea to record the song also came up.
Already, some disc-jockeys and journalists who have listened to the song opined that given the required promotion, “Love You Better” could become one of the hit songs on the continent and possibly sweep some awards in the year ahead.
They have, thus, voted a huge thumbs-up for Jay Ghartey and Juliana Kanyomozi for their collaboration and artistic creativity.
In an interview in Accra on Monday, Jay Ghartey said he was delighted that even before the song is released, “a lot more people, including DJs and journalists, who have had the opportunity to listen to the song, have tipped it to make waves on the continent in the coming year.”
Sharing his views about Juliana, Jay noted: “Juliana is a highly respected singer and entertainer in Uganda who has won many enviable awards, such as becoming the first female musician to be decorated as ‘Artist Of the Year’ at the Pearl Of Africa Music (PAM) Awards.
“She has a voice that is rare to find anywhere; she’s also a classy young lady and it’s easy to see why her people love her so much. I am honoured to work with such talent,” Jay said, revealing that he would soon be travelling to Uganda to perform and also shoot portions of
the “Love you Better” there.

How I Cope With Stardom- Pawpaw

Handsome but miniature in nature actor, Osita Iheme popularly called Pawpaw in Nollywood, has revealed the secrets of how he is able to cope with stardom.
According to him, ‘’each time I leave the house, I always have it at the back of my mind that I am a celebrity. I know that people will come to me and do all sorts of things out of excitement. I try to be involved in such scenario whenever I find myself in a situation where fans gather around me. I try to always remember that these fans are the ones that admire my work. I always try to keep a head straight and carry on with my fans.’’
Osita who is still single unlike his friend, Chinedu Aki said he wants to help the younger generation and help build a solid foundation for them. ‘’I want to help a lot of people in future. I want a situation where young and talented people can say that Osita Iheme inspired them to be what they are. I want them to say that I was the one that influenced their lives positively. I want to help build the younger generation. I also try to help people in need. I just want people to look back and say that they are what they are because God used me to touch their lives.’’

4×4′s Fake Live Performance Exposed

Though many industry pundits have campaigned for the inclusion of live band performance in our stage acts, the least they expected was to have some Ghanaian artistes deceive fans in the name of live performance.
May be you were not at the just ended MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards last Saturday at the Accra International Conference centre, but as much as you have Flex newspaper reporters as your informants, then your problem is solved. Hip life trio 4X4 made up of Captain Planet, Coded and Fresh Prince are at the centre of this mess. When it was time for the award winning trio to dish out powerful performances last Saturday, the three together with their five piece “Ohia be ye ya band” led by Kwame Yeboah rushed onto the stage to arrange their drum kit for that spectacular show.
Unlike many other shows, where drum kits are always ready for action on a stage with all the necessary set up, over there players had to run and arrange the drum kits for the trio when their name was mentioned. Their action raised eyebrows due to the kind of quality sound that was emanating from the speakers since a live set up without the required setting could provide such sound as pure and clean like what we were enjoying.
Some people started raising alarm including showbiz pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo of Razz fame, who started a vox pop mildly asking the opinions of people as to whether they realized that the hip life trio 4×4 dramatized their live performance. Flex newspaper reporters heard and wanted a clear verification of the allegation so quickly went to the floor, light and sound manager of the event (name withheld) for clarification and this is the information he gave to Flex newspaper.
“I know what 4X4 played during the performance is not a live thing but a charade painting a picture of a live band performance. They had recorded the performance especially the instrumentation live in a recording studio but it was not live on the stage. May be that is the way they wanted to do stuff so we could not complain. Yes, 4×4 never played a live band as we saw. The whole band had rehearsed and am sure they acted it so very well” the young man known for producing many events such facilities like sound and light told Flex newspaper when we contacted him at the conference centre.
4X4, we know you can do well on the stage so please get us the real live thing so we can really measure your output anytime. Any way how about Kwame Yeboah, we are sure he knows better and loves his live thing so what really happened. No wonder the drummer was spotted wearing jacket but played the drum in his own rehearsed way.

Bishop Obinim Again!

Controversial self-styled Christian leader Bishop Daniel Obinim, best remembered for invading a radio station with a carpenter’s crowbar to assault some persons, is in the news again for another reason that has nothing to do with Christianity.
Bishop Obinim, leader of God’s Way Church, is claiming that he made circular music ‘Lapaz Toyota’, by hiplife artiste Guru, a mega-hit.
This revelation from a Christian leader comes as a shock, especially when ‘Lapaz Toyota’ was largely considered to have profane lyrics.
Bishop Obinim was recently shown on Metro TV telling his congregation that Guru sent him a copy of the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ CD for special prayers to be said over the song and that after the prayers, the song became a hit.
The Christian Bishop and his congregation were seen on TV singing the song right in the church auditorium.
Meanwhile, opinions remain divided on whether ‘Lapaz Toyota’ should be rated 18.
This follows claims that the song has some profane notes, with emphasis on a controversial and popular line somewhere in the lyrics which some music observers interpret to mean “Lick my d**k”.
However, Guru has raised objections, saying the song has got nothing profane in it and denied usage of profane words as “Lick my d**k.”
He spoke with NEWS-ONE in a previous interview: “I believe in people and how they feel comfortable with what they think and how they think like.
That word is not lick my d**k or hit man. No, no, no, it is far from that. Even the starting of the song, people have their own way of interpreting.
But the word is hikma, it is a hook. I got that idea from an old song. Hikma is a name.
“No, ‘Lapaz Toyota’ is not a profane song. I got this idea when I was driving around Lapaz. That was when I was planning for the new single after my ‘Mmaa Kuo’.
So I was trying to target the masses and targeting the masses is all about coming out with something that can build up to that line.
So I was driving around Lapaz, and I saw this well-dressed guy with the girlfriend seated by him in his car. They were kind of very happy but my only problem was the car.” “You don’t expect such a beautiful girl and well-dressed guy to be in such a car. So I realized oh ok….I was trying to understand the reason why they were happy.
So I realized, we should be content with whatever we have. If the car does not look so good, they are still ok with it. It is kind of a priceless thing but they cherish it. That motivated me to record the song.
Somewhere along the line, while recording the song, these whole ideas came up. ‘Lapaz Toyota’ is not referring to a lady, [but] rather appreciating something priceless,” he added.

Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde: The Reinforcement

It’s quite obvious that the Nollywood diva, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde doesn’t want to grow old. To keep up her game in the industry, the beautiful mother of four is putting a positive reinforcement of actions together to keep up her game in the movie arena within and outside Africa.
Evidently, these new set of Omotola’s pictures are additional strengthening materials to stand her out amongst her competitors. No doubt, Omosexy, as she is fondly called, is leaving no stone unturned to keep her flag flying.

Kate Middleton is pregnant, says close friend Jessica Hay

20 November 2012

Kate Middleton pregnant" the internet headlines have screamed for the past 12 months or so, though she's strangely yet to give birth to a child.

However, Jessica Hay, a childhood acquaintance of Kate's says the Duchess of Cambridge is definitely, 100 percent, well and truly pregnant this time.

Ms Hay told Australian tabloid New Idea that Middleton is expecting, adding, "They're planning to make an announcement in December. William and Kate are focused on starting a family."

The magazine attempts to add credence to the story by reporting on Middleton's recent "weight gain."

Hay added, "It seems very traditional, but of course they'll be happy with boys or two girls, they don't want more. They've discussed it endlessly and don't want to be older parents."

So, it's probably wise to tell you who Jessica Hay woman is anyway. Back in 2010, she claimed Middleton told her about her engagement via phone before she told anyone else.

She also predicted that the wedding would happen sometime in 2011. We're still dubious about the whole thing, though Middleton and Prince William have made no secret of their desire to have children, so who knows?

In other Kate Middleton news, Marie Claire is reporting that the Duchess sent back samples from the Kardashian's new Dorothy Perkins collection.

Though she's known to be keen on high street trends, it looks like this was a step too far for Kate

Jackie Chan to step back from action movies

20 November 2012

Hong Kong superstar Jackie Chan has announced upcoming movie 'Chinese Zodiac' will be his last major action adventure.

The Kung Fu master will scale back on lead roles after the film premieres in China next month, and he hopes to devote more time to charity work.

Chan plans to rely more on special effects technology in future big screen outings as he admits stunts have become increasingly difficult to perform as he approaches 60.

He tells Reuters, "I'm not young any more, honestly. Why (do) I have to use my own life to still do these kind of things? I will still do as much as I can. But I just don't want to risk my life to sit in a wheelchair, that's all."

However, the 58 year old is confident fans will love 'Chinese Zodiac', in which he plays a treasure hunter.

He adds, "I'm the director, I'm the writer, I'm the producer, I'm the action director, almost everything. This really, really is my baby. You know, I've been writing the script for seven years."

I have had unprotected sex with 300 women - Wanlov the Kubolor

   20 November 2012

Controversial Ghanaian Pidgin rapper Wanlov the Kubolor has granted yet another mind-boggling interview with television presenter Delay, during which he disclosed that he has four children with four different women.

Kubolor also said he currently has active sex mates numbering between 10 and 15 and that he has over the years had unprotected sex with some 300 different women.

“I know they would be more than 300 but not up to 500. I believe I have had sex with about 300 of them - both young and old.
One was as young as 17 but she does not look it. Sometimes they are as old as 49 or 50,” Wanlov noted.

Speaking on the rebranded Delay Show on Viasat 1 last Friday, Wanlov said though he had heard all the education about HIV, he preferred to have unprotected sex because he did not enjoy using condoms.

“I have heard about HIV but I do not think about it just like I always walk bare footed and I do not think of the possibility of something piercing or cutting my feet.”

Interestingly, the musician said he had not performed any marital rites for any of the four women who had children for him.

He explained: “For me, I don’t believe in the concept of marriage. I am not moved by external pressure where I have to hold a ceremony in the presence of some people to prove a bond between my wife and I.

“I don’t see such things as important. I know the child we have together is more powerful than ring, marriage, customs and all that. My focus is how to cater for my wife and child in a responsible way.

“My criteria for a woman who will carry my baby is someone who has a good heart and loves people. I select the women who I want to give birth for me. None was by accident.”

Wanlov said three of his ‘wives’ were outside Ghana studying midwifery but one was in Ghana working as a fruit seller at Dzorwulu in Accra.

When asked by Delay whether he was living an exemplary life as a role model to several young persons, Wanlov expressed shock he was being considered as a role model.

“I am not a role model. I am a musician. I am a ‘kubolor’ and I have not asked anyone to make me a role model. I just do what I like,” he noted.

Rihanna: I see myself as art

  20 November 2012

There aren't many women in Hollywood who seem as comfortable in their skin as Rihanna does.

The 24-year-old's nonchalance toward nudity, partial or otherwise, is well-documented, and she brings the same ease in a cover and photo spread for GQ's December issue.

Dedicated to their men of the year - Channing Tatum and Ben Affleck among them - the magazine also highlights their "obsession of the year," Rihanna, clad in nothing but a leather jacket covering her shoulders.

But what's more stunning than the image is the fact that she had time for the shoot at all, considering that she's been ramping up to release her seventh studio album in seven years on November 19.

Starting Wednesday, Rihanna will embark on a seven-day tour promoting the record, "Unapologetic," bouncing from Mexico City (November 14) to Toronto (November 15) to Stockholm (November 16) to Paris (November 17) before coming back to New York City the day after her album's release.

"Sometimes a person looks at me and sees dollars. They see numbers and they see a product," the "Diamonds" singer told GQ. "I look at me and see art. If I didn’t like what I was doing, then I would say I was committing slavery."

But Rihanna is in the driver's seat of her career and public persona, a position that leads her to want to take the backseat when it comes to romance.

“I like to feel like a woman," she said of her turn-ons. "I have to be in control in every other aspect of my life, so I feel like in a relationship, like I wanted to be able to take a step back and have somebody else take the lead.”

Being in love, she continued, "makes you go places you probably wouldn't ever go, had it not been for love. But I think everybody still has their limits."

DKB & Zainab Reunite In Ghana

This year’s Big Brother Africa reality show saw many disqualifications than the previous ones has ever witnessed. The assaults in this year`s biggest Africa reality show saw a ‘royal rumble’ between Ghana’s representative, Derrick Kwabena Bonney(DKB) and Sierra Leone’s diva, Zainab.

After their disqualification, the two became ‘enemies’ of which DKB’s efforts to reach Zainab did not materialize. We also learnt that, upon knowing that DKB will be present, Zainab intentionally absented herself from the finals of the show.

The two have reunited after a long stay-away from the other. Zainab arrived at the Kotoka International Airport earlier this week to have some ‘chilling’ times off her busy schedules.

The weekend was a ‘Zainab-DKB’ day in Accra as the ‘stubborn’ housemates were jolly riding in Ghana’s capital.

DKB on his show, ‘Friday Madness’ interviewed the victim of his anger Zainab, as the two shared some happy moments back in the house and indirectly apologized. In an interview DKB mentioned that, they have reunited and are having a good time.

As to whether Zainab will be in his campaign against gender violence, DKB mentioned that, Ghana should expect something grand than what he started. “It will be across the whole of Africa and it will make a lot of sense to people as we were victims of it, making our account short of $200,000”, DKB said.

Until Zainab leaves Ghana, anytime you see DKB in traffic, look at his front seat as you will spot Zainab occupying the seat in comfort.

                             Efya Shows Boobs

Yet another Ghanaian female celebrity has generated new controversy with her style of dressing after the likes of TV3’s Nana Aba Anamoah, Jane Awoonor-Williams, CEO of Spa 216 and the famous Raquel made waves with their mode of dressing.

Twenty-four-year-old singer Efya certainly caused female tongues to wag and male eyes to yearn for more when she appeared on stage last Saturday with a costume that largely exposed her pear-shaped breasts.
If Efya had bigger boobs, they would have certainly popped out of her dress to take a peep at the audience and also get peeped at.

Efya did not wear a bra to hide her sexy pair of succulent boobs when she performed during the Miss Ghana 2012 finals in a plunging outfit that exposed her boobs.

As expected, several members of the audience started cat-calling and passing comments about the singer’s boobs while they enjoyed her performance.

Since then, some of the pictures have started circulating on Facebook and other social media sties, generating rather interesting comments.

It is difficult to say if Efya had a wardrobe malfunction. She has over the years remained rather fashion conscious and when there were wild allegations about her lifestyle and behavior, she hit back at her critics, insisting she was brought up in a good home by her celebrity mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor, the popular host of rested TV programme, ‘Greetings from Abroad’.

“Yes, my mother brought me up well. My mother is a very tough person and she taught me a lot in my life and I believe that she is the person who made me, who I am right now. I am grateful to her, God bless my mother,” she told News-One in an exclusive interview then.

“I leave a liberal life. I am very conscious, so I believe that everybody has a chance to do whatever they want to as long as you put your mind to it and apart from that I believe that you make yourself. So I do what I want to do and I do it how I want to do it with whom I want to do it with. And as long as I believe in it and I have a positive energy towards it, I do and know that it is going to work out. That is me. I plan for stuff that are supposed to be planned for and let the rest go because I believe that in life, God has a purpose for everybody and that everything that happens has meaning,” she also said about claims that she was a bad girl.

Another gay rights group targets Beenie Man, want upcoming show in U.S. cancelled

Prominent Dancehall superstar, Beenie Man can't seem to shake off the pressure brought on by the LGBT community despite his best efforts as yet another gay rights group targets one of his upcoming shows in the United States.
Nearly two weeks ago, the Queer Humboldt organization staged a peaceful protest while attending Beenie Man's show at the Ocean Grove Lodge in northern California. The gay rights group insisted that they were not trying to stop the show from proceeding, but wanted to educate Beenie Man and others about tolerance.
However, a new gay rights group, the Gay Liberation Network (GLN), has decided to turn up the heat on the 'King of the Dancehall,' demanding that Beenie Man's show at The Shrine in Chicago be cancelled due to the Grammy-winning entertainer's past remarks about homosexuals.
In a letter issued by GLN, the group stated, "I wish it were possible to say that this artist performs music that is simply engaging entertainment with a great beat and sometimes gritty lyrics. Sadly, this is not the case due to Beenie Man's history of frequent calls for violence against gays and lesbians. Such calls are anything but 'entertainment' when directed against a vulnerable and oppressed minority.
Though Beenie Man issued a video statement earlier this year in which he expressed that he had no animosity towards homosexuals, the Gay Liberation Network isn't buying it. They suggest Beenie Man's peaceful gesture was hollow and demand a meeting with organizers of the event in Chicago.
"Because of his advocacy of violence toward our people and his checkered and inconsistent relationship to the global LGBT community, we respectfully request that management of The Shrine show its respect for our community and rescind its offer to have Beenie Man perform at its venue. We would be happy to sit down with you to discuss this matter further."

The event at The Shrine will take place on November 22 and is being promoted by Ephraim Martin, head of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA
