Sala: “No Woman Wants A Lazy Man For A Husband”

Just as every man wishes to land a fresh catch, so do women. Most women may not look twice at a divorced man for a husband except for a few. Young rising musician, Sala, is one of those few; she does not mind marrying a divorcee. Sala’s choice, however, comes with conditions. She told Showbiz in an interview last week, that the man must be well to do, hard working and of good character. According to Sala, she is very selective and would not settle for anything less because she knows where she is from and where she is heading to. “Yes, I do not have a problem if he is divorced and can take care of me, after all no woman wants a lazy man for a husband. If I love him and he also loves me and there is trust, it doesn’t matter what people would think about me. At the end of the day, I am the one involved and if I am not bothered, I do not see why others should”, she said. “I do not want to be the cause of a broken home but if the man was divorced before I met him then it is a cool but if the story is the other way round, then I will quit because I see such an act to be shameful”, she said. Commenting on how she will feel if the man has kids and she has to compete with the other woman for finances, she said: “I do not mind, I love kids and together we will take care of the children. He is the father of the children and needs to provide for them so if the mother of the children will have to be around to ensure that the responsibility is met, then I have no problem”. “I will only have an issue if it gets too much but even before I jump into that relationship, I will do a background check, probe into the divorce and ensure he is truly divorced and that he feels nothing for the other woman because I am a very jealous lady. If I want you, I want you for myself I would not want to share you with any other woman not even the mother of your children” she added. In an answer to what she will do if her husband leaves her for another woman since he has divorced before and can do it again Sala said,“I am not perturbed that the same thing could be done to me because I know men will always be men, it is a matter of you learning how to keep the man and that is exactly what I will focus on.” She also cleared the air saying that, there is no feud between her and her former management, Paradise Entertainment. “I left because my contract ended and we both realised that, we had other projects we would love to embark on so it was a collective decision” she said. Sala described herself as a very quiet and calm person who does not do friends because she doesn’t trust anyone. She loves kids, watching movies and always wants to put smiles on the faces of people who come into contact with her. Sala was born Salamatu Yakubu. She grew up in Accra, where she had her basic education. Aside singing, Sala is also a model, a songwriter and an aspiring actress. Currently under her own label, 7th Entertainment, she has songs such as Falling, Mama, Fakye, My Love, On My Mind, Today Na Today, Need U Now and Oh My God.

The family, friends and famous admirers of US author and activist Maya Angelou have held a private memorial service in her honour in North Carolina. US First Lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and media mogul Oprah Winfrey were among the speakers. Mrs Obama said her words sustained her through life, carrying “a little black girl from the South Side of Chicago all the way to the White House”. Angelou died at home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, last week, aged 86. Mr Clinton praised Angelou for her belief in dignity, love and kindness, and spoke of a time in Angelou’s childhood when “she could not speak”. Mrs Obama said Angelou’s words sustained her throughout her life “And then she developed the greatest voice on the planet,” he said. “God loaned her His voice. She had the voice of God, and He decided he wanted it back for a while.” Angelou wrote the poem On the Pulse of Morning and read it at Mr Clinton’s first presidential inauguration in 1993. Mourners arrive at Wait Chapel, Wake Forest University, to attend the memorial The service was held at Wake Forest University’s chapel in Winston-Salem, where Angelou taught for three decades. The family has asked the public to make donations to the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity in lieu of bringing flowers to the campus. Angelou wrote more than 30 books including her famous memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which charted a childhood of oppression and abuse in the Deep South in the 1930s.

Fan buys Whitney Houston’s mansion for $1.5m insists he will not open it to public

Whitney Houston’s mansion has been sold for $1.5 million. And the new owner of the late singer’s property – a self-proclaimed ‘fan’ – has claimed that he will not open it’s doors to the public or in any way ‘disgrace her honour.’ Matthew Krauthamer, a 33-year-old emergency room physician, has said that instead, he plans to move into the Mendham, New Jersey home and keep things private. +12 Whitney Houston’s New Jersey mansion has changed hands for the second time in six months with the new owner claiming he is a ‘big fan’ who plans to preserve the property as a memorial to the late singing superstar But it was no easy task to purchase Whitney’s former residence, Krauthamer has explained in an interview with RadarOnline . ‘I had been trying to buy the property for a number of years,’ he said of the mansion that has been on and off the market since 2009. The Houston family was conscious of making sure that they found ‘a good fit for the property.’ ‘Her family has been in contact with me,’ Krauthamer revealed, but held back on giving any further detail. ‘I don’t want to make money off of who she was.’ ‘She was kind and generous and she took care of those who she loved,’ he continued. ‘I’ve had some communication with the family and they have been kind throughout the whole process,’ the doctor went on. ‘I wanted to put an end to their concerns and fears, that I am not an opportunist and I don’t want to disgrace her honor.’ But although he loves the late singer’s work, Krauthamer says he’s not the most die-hard fan out there. ‘I am a fan of Whitney’s music like so many people, but I’m not the over-the-top weird fan.’ It seems that he just knew a good investment when he saw one. ‘It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know it’s a good deal.’ Krauthamer, 33, plans to restore the property to its former glory as a tribute to the I Wanna Dance With Somebody singer The 12,561-square-foot home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, 13 skylights and 108 windows ‘People have been contacting me left and right to also buy the property from me. Some have offered three times as much for it,’ he said, confirming that it had in fact been a good investment. But Krauthamer is not having any of it. ‘One hundred percent, I am moving into the home in the next month,’ he declared, confirming: ‘I do not want to exploit Whitney.’ Even though he’ll probably eventually need to pass the property on in his estate or by some other transfer, he explained that he wasn’t about to do that immediately. Krauthamer, who is single, plans to live in the house with family members and also intends to host plenty of guests and parties there Last month, Houston’s estate was forced to take legal action against investment company CPMG Mendham, claiming they had been blocked from retrieving personal items belonging to Houston from the house ‘I was not going to have any secondary gain from buying the property or exploit her honor.’ And of the Houston family, Krauthamer said: ‘This is still their house!’ Built 1986 for $2.7 million, Houston and her former husband Bobby Brown hosted their lavish 1992 wedding there. Later, as their marriage and careers stumbled amid allegations of drug abuse, the home featured in several episodes of the notorious reality TV series Being Bobby Brown. The 12,561-square-foot home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, 13 skylights and 108 windows. It includes a tennis court, pool house and pool, a circular driveway and six-car garage.
